Commission A Portrait Painting

"The portrait painting is a natural transition for me as I have total control over lighting, content and color rendition. To me, a painting represents an ultimate challenge and reward when you have created a work that has a lasting quality.”

Where do I start if I am interested in commissioning a portrait from you?
The process is very easy. Contact us and we will be happy to discuss the preliminaries of setting up a “commissioned piece”. We will need to have a “Primary Reference Photograph” from which the painting will be made. This must be at least 8x10 of good quality or a negative. We also accept digital files; again they must be of good quality.

Another option is to schedule a portrait session at our Studio in Sedona, Arizona and we will create the necessary reference image for your painting. Either way, we will “qualify” the image or file and then have a consultation either in person or over the phone to gain more insight into the person or persons being painted. “I always like to find out more about my subject (s) because it helps me get a feel for the painting. I have a strong connection to my subjects and they come alive in my studio. I want to capture the character and vitality in a painting, more than just a likeness; for only then will it become a story representing their individuality and uniqueness.”

Let Robert paint a Portrait for you as he truly enjoys “Turning Special Moments Into Masterpieces”.
